Recommendation very few choices to get from London to Stansted airport unless you share a taxi with other travelers and split the cost. The driver was really careless and drove very fast through london on our way to Stansted airport, however we got their in one piece. The 130am bus came and we paid the driver in cash which he nicely placed in his receipt would be given!! we all were happy to just get on the bus and catch our flights. We continued and took enough money to pay for the service and waited for the 130am bus, all 7 of us were furious and annoyed that we had been lied to, the group grew as more people turned up. As we were drawing our money, the bus left, yes, leaving us all in shock, especially when he said he would wait a couple of minutes. I asked why he couldnt accept the card as this was a card machine too, he said cash only, nothing else.so we all saw a cash machine just beside us and we ran to it so we could draw 10 pounds. We were a group of 7 waiting and were happy to see the bus, as we entered to buy our tickets the conductor entered the information into his electronic machine and asked us to pay, we gave him our debit card and he laughed at us and said cash only. We found out that there was a National Express stop for Stansted airport just outside the train station so we headed out there and waited for the 1am bus.it came running a little late and stopped to let passengers off and on. Taxi or National Express.we opted for the cheaper, national express. Therefore we searched a few options of getting to the airport in enough time to catch our flight. We were going to catch the early morning train to Stansted airport however when we got to the liverpool street station we found out the last train had left and we were stranded with a return ticket we couldnt transfer. We paid for tickets and because of an aggressive and obviously mentally ill driver, we were not allowed to enter the bus, and nobody from the company did not help us. Absolutely bullying, and really really mean. And he was right because the bus was full. And then he said that the next bus in not going to take us neither. It was really terrible, such a bullying of a bus driver in the 21st century in a civilized country. And if we enter the bus, he is not driving anywhere. And then the bus driver said he is not taking us. ![]() We ask for a manager, one guy came and then he refused to mix in, even though he was a supervisor of the bus driver. He came out and start we aggressively asking us to repeat what we have just said, and my husband said that he should calm down and stop treat us so badly. I mean we are living in a civilized country. We said ok, no problem but he does no need to shout so aggressively on us as we would be criminals or dunno what. Extremely aggressive bus driver started shouting on passengers when they wanted to put their luggage into bus luggage space to stop doing this.

![]() The riddle read "I am open, but I am closed," Mr Astle said. "That to me says how ancient and timeless the notion of riddles is," he said. The oldest riddle he found was from the Sumerian civilisation, and was scratched onto a classroom clay tablet sometime around 5300 BC. Mr Astle said from his research he could confidently say that humans have had riddles throughout history, "but possibly not as we understand riddles today". Riddles found throughout history, author says "Riddles really are the precursor to so many crossword and cryptic games that we have in modern culture today," he said. The book details riddles from more than 50 cultures, exploring their meaning and the societies that created them. Mr Astle's childhood hero would also probably approve of his new book - Riddledom: 101 Riddles And Their Stories. "My hero was the Riddler from Batman - forget the superheroes, I fell in love with the villains," David Astle told 774 ABC Melbourne's Jon Faine. His weekly puzzles are published under the initials DA, which have been said to stand for "don't attempt", and are so difficult that to help each other solve them his fans have established an internet forum called the DA Trippers. The Melbourne-based crossword setter is known for his difficult cryptic crosswords for The Age and Sydney Morning Herald newspapers each Friday. Maybe bump into a few new words and feel free to add to the hubbub. It may not surprise anyone who has attempted his crosswords that, as a child, David Astle preferred comic book supervillains to their superhero nemeses. ABH AUBERGINE is a little lighter and more shimmery. MORPHE BLACKBERRY is nearly the exact same color, maybe slightly more burgundy. I find it to be patchy and difficult to blend. ![]() COASTAL SCENTS RICH WALNUT is slightly lighter and more red.ĭELECTABLE is deep blackened eggplant with a satin finish. ABH TRUFFLE is lighter and a little more warm. MAKEUP GEEK BROWN SUGAR is lighter and more red. PEACH PIT is dark metallic brown with plum undertones. JUVIA’S PLACE CARLOTA (SAVE 10% WITH THE AFFILIATE CODE: BEAUTYCULT) is lighter and more pink but it also more creamy and pigmented. We have a non-affiliate discount code: BEAUTYCULT which will save you 15%. The first is PEGASUS from BEAUTY ESCAPE COSMETICS. ![]() I found two dupes that I’d consider to be nearly exact. SUGARPILL SUBURBIA is lighter and more pink.īELLINI is a peachy pink with gold shimmer. It also has far superior color pay off, IMO. MAKEUP GEEK POPPY is a bit more red and completely matte. It has a smattering of violet glitter which doesn’t adhere to the skin. They’re slightly warmer than COBBLER.ĬANDIED PEACH is a bright orangey coral. ABH HOT & COLD (SELF MADE PALETTE) and VIOLET VOSS BAT MY EYES (HOLY GRAIL PALETTE) are almost perfect dupes for each other. MAKEUP GEEK LUCKY PENNY is not quite as warm but I find it to be much softer and more pigmented. It’s one of my favorite brow bone highlights.ĬOBBLER is warm coppery bronze with a metallic finish. NECTAR is frosty yellowish beige and it’s (what I would consider to be) an exact color dupe for MAKEUP GEEK RAPUNZEL. I don’t know that any of these are exact dupes but I think all of them are close enough to give you a similar look. MAKEUP GEEK BROWNIE POINTS is lighter and cooler. LOOXI FIGGY (save 10% with the affiliate code: BEAUTYCULT10) is a little darker and warmer. MAKEUP GEEK STEAMPUNK has a stronger bronze overlay.ĬHARMED, I’M SURE is a dark brown matte with cool slightly plum undertones. ![]() ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS DARK CHOCOLATE SHIMMER is a little more brown. This is one of my favorite formulas in the palette. TEMPTING is a creamy black with bronze shimmer. It’s a little lighter and more green and unfortunately it’s not sold individually. VIOLET VOSS BLISS is in their DRENCHED METAL palette. ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS CHIFFON is darker and more brown. JUST PEACHY is a pretty color but I’m not especially impressed with the pigmentation.īLESS YOUR HEART is brownish olive green with a metallic finish. SUGARPILL KITTEN PARADE, ABH CHINA ROSE and MAKEUP GEEK COSMOPOLITAN are also comparable. PARADISCO is a little lighter and FREELOVE is a little more apricot but they’re close enough that either would be a reasonable substitute. MAC PARADISCO and URBAN DECAY FREELOVE are also very similar. As far as I can tell, JARDIN from TOO FACED’S (no longer available) ALA MODE palette, is the exact same color. It’s a bright coral pink with gold shimmer. JUST PEACHY is one of the few true peach shades in the palette. LUSCIOUS has a nice texture and formula but I find CONJOINED to be longer lasting. I can barely tell the difference between them. STROBE COSMETICS CONJOINED (save 20% with the non-affiliate code: TANNER) was the closest dupe that I could find. ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS SATEEN is slightly lighter. NATASHA DENONA BELLATRIX (STAR PALETTE) is warmer and more coppery. Shade number two is LUSCIOUS, a light rosey copper. Anything off white with a subtle sheen will do just fine. I swatched three similar shades: COLOURPOP GLOW, URBAN DECAY STRANGE (NAKED 3 PALETTE) and ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS VANILLA (found in the AMREZY PALETTE and sold individually) but really there’s tons of dupes for this shade. And for me the color pay off is pretty crappy. It’s an off white color with a satin finish. The first shade in the palette is WHITE PEACH. Next we’ll go through each shade, one at a time. The above photo is the top row of the palette swatched next to the best dupe that I could find. Conversely if you already own the palette, then this post will probably be interesting to you as well! If you’re attracted to the color scheme and don’t already own a slew of similar shades, then I say go for it! But if there’s only a few shades that you’re interested in, hopefully I can help you out with that. I don’t feel strongly one way or the other but most people seem to either love this palette or hate it. And although I do think it’s a pretty palette, I’m not all that impressed with the quality. I originally got this palette back when it was first released in the spring of last year. The TOO FACED SWEET PEACH palette retailes for $49 and is currently available on their website as well as at SEPHORA, ULTA and a number of other retailers. ![]() Journalist and author Sathnam Sanghera joins me on the podcast to talk about his book Empireland.
